Ch. 13 - The King Who Had It All

Chapter 13 narrates the history of Israel during the period of the monarchy from the closing day of David's rule through the reign of his son, Solomon. Solomon's reign would be firmly established through his wisdom and building projects such as his palace and the temple. Yet Solomon, in all of his wisdom and power, was also characterized as one who gave himself to folly and in so doing his throne was threatened.
