Ch. 14 - A Kingdom Torn In Two
Apr 27, 2014 • Mitch Wilburn
The guiding theme of the chapter is that the welfare of Israel and her kings depended on their submission to and reliance on Israel's covenant God. While this chapter depicts Israel's obedience and disobedience to the covenant as decisive for her historical destiny, it also recognizes the far-reaching significances of God's covenant, which promised that David's dynasty would endure forever.
